So what could be the cruelest prank Valve could post on April Fools' Day? Something to do with Half-Life 2: Episode 3 or Half-Life 3, right?
That's kind of what the folks at CheapShark.com thought too, so they created a somewhat-legit-looking page that announces a preorder for Half-Life 2: Episode 3 using a Steam-based URL: http://storestteampowered.com/app/4411/.
The page doesn't look half bad, but if you try to click on it, you'll get the "Haha! Fooled you!" overlay from CheapShark.com.
Something like this for a game as anticipated as anything Half-Life, it should be obvious that anything posted today about it would be an April Fools' Day joke. And yet, wouldn't that just be like Valve to really announce this game on April 1st?
