Sekiro Shadows Die Twice launch trailer has been released on the game’s YouTube channel. The trailer showcases the games 4K 60 FPS gameplay. The video gives us a rollercoaster of a preview into what we can expect of From Software’s new game.
During an opening voiceover addressing the titular Sekiro, the shinobi’s journey is established: “Defend your master with your life, if he’s taken bring him back at any cost.” Chaos then ensues. Sekiro dispatches enemies in spectacular fashion, providing a taste of the many enemies you will come up against in the game at a hurting pace. In true From Software style, we get glimpses of the varied stunning landscapes as Sekiro ruthlessly dispatches warriors and giants.
Viewers are then introduced to the first major boss fight in the trailer. Both Sekiro and the enemy use a range of abilities beyond just their swords. From a bow and arrow to a flaming projectile. The fight also shows off the mechanic referred to in the game’s title, the ability to revive Sekiro, giving you a second chance to take down enemies. “It seems fate doesn’t want you dead.”
Following Sekiro’s resurrection, the trailer picks up into an even higher gear. We see Sekiro soaring through a wide variety of enemies. The shinobi uses a range of devastating takedowns along with attacks effortlessly chained together with a sling of his grappling hook. Interspersed throughout the trailer are artistic stills of the action, which concludes as Sekiro dispatches a giant with a swift decapitation.
Last week, it was revealed the PlayStation 4 version of Sekiro Shadows Die Twice would likely be capable of 1080p 60 FPS. The information was discovered at a preview event for the game. The preview event will be one of the few sources of early information on the game, as video games outlets are not currently being sent out codes for Sekiro Shadows Die Twice prior to release.
Sekiro Shadows Die Twice is slated to be released March 22 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
