Days Gone sales

Days Gone sales top UK chart, biggest launch of 2019 so far

SIE Bend Studio’s Days Gone has charged to the top of the UK physical game charts in its debut week. The open-world survival horror game was just released at the end of last week, April 26, but beat out competition from the week’s other debuting title Mortal Kombat 11.

Days Gone has made a big impact in the UK charts in the game’s first week. Days Gone sales, which have taken it to the very top of the chart, also mean the zombie title is the biggest UK launch so far this year.  Competitors which Days Gone had to overcome for the launch sales milestone include titles like Far Cry New Dawn and The Division 2. Despite being the UK physical sales milestones, Days Gone did come up short against previous PS4 exclusives like God of War and Marvel’s Spider-Man.

Days Gone took the top spot from its undead rival World War Z. Despite debuting at number one last week, World War Z nearly plummeted out of the chart and is now at number 10. Mortal Kombat 11 comes in at number two this week. The game dropped significantly in physical sales from the previous installment in the series. However, the game’s sales do top Netherrealm’s previous release Injustice 2. At the very bottom of the UK physical game top 40 is two Lego titles debuting in the chart. Coming in at 39 and 40 respectively are Lego DC Super-Villains and Lego Harry Potter Collection.

Shortly before the release of Days Gone, SIE Bend Studio announced the game’s DLC plans. The first wave of content will come in June when updates are added on a weekly basis. For those already engrossed in the new zombie survival titles, plenty of bugs as well as handy tips and tricks are being uncovered each day in Days Gone’s opening days. Some players have experienced the binoculars not working. While a storage-related problem has cropped up for players wanting to auto-save in the game.
