E3 2019 | Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order gameplay trailer and demo revealed

Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order is one of the most anticipated games of the year, and the game many fans are hoping will redeem EA’s attempts to make a modern Star Wars game, after numerous cancellations and just two divisive Battlefront titles in the six years it’s had the license. Finally, at the publisher’s E3 press conference EA Play, we got the first Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order gameplay trailer, a 15-minute uncut Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order demo we finally know how it will play.

While Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order was initially revealed a year ago at E3 2018, the only details given at the time were that it was set between Episodes III and IV and that players would control a Jedi padawan escaping Revenge of the Sith‘s Order 66 purge. The first trailer for the game was shown off at the Star Wars Celebration show in April, giving us further details about Jedi Fallen Order‘s story, but no gameplay. Now, at last, we’ve got our first proper look at the game.

Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order gameplay trailer revealed at EA Play

The first Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order gameplay footage was shown as part of a 30-minute long presentation to begin EA’s direct streaming-style press conference, which also marks the start of E3 week. The gameplay reveal shows that as rumored, Jedi Fallen Order is indeed a third-person action-adventure with combat and exploration elements.

Potentially the most exciting element developer Respawn revealed is game’s combat, which works a little differently to how lightsaber combat functioned in previous Star Wars games, such as Jedi Knight or The Force Unleashed. The combat has previously been described as “thoughtful,” and that certainly seems to be the case.

Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order will release on November 15, and you can check out the gameplay trailer below:
