We’ve learned that Cyberpunk 2077 voice actors will be supporting 10 different spoken languages in the upcoming role-playing game from CD Projekt Red that had a spectacular reveal at Microsoft’s E3 2019 conference. While English and Polish were certainly a given, it seems that the devs have stepped things up as compared to The Witcher 3 in terms of the voice acting that they’ll be making available in this hotly-anticipated game.
A tweet from CD Projekt Red’s Global Community Lead Marcin Momot has listed a chart that shows how many languages Cyberpunk 2077 voice actors will be speaking in this upcoming game. In addition, the chart has also indicated which languages are going to be supported through subtitles only. Here is a list of the languages that will be supported when the game releases in April of 2020:
Cyberpunk 2077 Voice Actors | Supported spoken languages
- English
- German
- Spanish
- French
- Italian
- Polish
- Brazilian Portuguese
- Russian
- Chinese (Simplified)
- Japanese
Cyberpunk 2077 Voice Actors | Supported subtitles
- All of the above languages, and
- Spanish (Latin American)
- Hungarian
- Turkish
- Czech
- Arabic
- Thai
- Chinese (Traditional)
- Korean
In total, 18 different languages and dialects are going to be supported in Cyberpunk 2077.
The number of languages supported by Cyberpunk 2077 voice actors represents a much more ambitious showing than 2015’s The Witcher 3. As noted on The Witcher 3 GOG page, the fantasy role-playing game only supported 7 spoken languages and an additional 9 languages via subtitles. Cyberpunk 2077, meanwhile, supports 10 spoken languages and an additional 8 languages via subtitles.
