Originally released on the Vita last summer, Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F arrived on PS3 this past March in Japan. Today, the PSBlog revealed that the game would be bound for North American and European markets this August. In North America, it will be available as both a physical product and a PSN download, while Europe will only have the download option. The game got some updated graphics and a few new songs in its transition from Vita to PS3.
The Project Diva series features the outrageously popular Japanese vocaloid Hatsune Miku singing and dancing while the player taps buttons with proper timing. The Vita version involved screen taps, but the PS3 version changes that to flicks of the analog sticks. I actually talk about it in great detail in my review of the Vita version over at PSLS. Those who like a good rhythm game and don't mind some J-pop can figure out if this game appeals to them by reading that, and then downloading the demo, which will be available in the June 11 PSN update for North America (June 12 for Europe).
