A new Sonic the Hedgehog movie trailer has been released, showing off the new design of the blue blur following immense fan backlash.
The first Sonic the Hedgehog trailer released earlier this year, with fans promptly criticizing the design of the iconic Sega mascot. This led to director Jeff Fowler confirming that the character would be redesigned, which would delay the film’s release into 2020 but allow the studio time to bring its protagonist more in line with the game series.

Now the new trailer for the film has been released, with Sonic’s design having been drastically altered. Gone are the weirdly human eyes and odd white fur hands, replaced by a more cartoonish design and gloves.
Sonic the Hedgehog will release on February 14, 2020. The new trailer can be viewed below:
