The Super Mario Bros movie trailer hits soon and the first Mario movie Peach image has leaked ahead of it, giving Nintendo fans their first look at the erstwhile Princess Toadstool played by Anya Taylor-Joy. This accompanies a better look at the movie version of Mario, who himself leaked yesterday thanks to a Mcdonald’s employee.
First look at the Mario movie’s Peach leaks ahead of trailer
The first Super Mario movie Peach image has been revealed thanks to a leak of a 2023 calendar for the movie, which also features the Super Mario Bros movie’s official logo and another look at the same Mario image that leaked yesterday. While Mario is front and center, Peach is just off to the side and looks pretty accurate to her video game counterpart.
Reactions to the Peach reveal in the community have been pretty favorable so far, seemingly more so than Mario himself. Most seem satisfied that she seems accurate to the game version while still with some slight differences to give Peach more character.
It seems likely that this is all part of a wave of merchandise and tie-ins that will roll out following the reveal of the Super Mario Bros movie official trailer tonight during a special Nintendo Direct. The first poster for the 2023 film was released earlier this week, showing a very vertical Mushroom Kingdom capped by Peach’s castle, a lot of Toads, and Mario with his back to the camera.
The trailer, however, won’t just be the internet’s first look at the animated Mario characters in motion, but will also likely reveal how many of the characters will sound. The Mario movie voice cast met with a lot of criticism when the actors were revealed, particularly Guardians of the Galaxy and The LEGO Movie actor Chris Pratt as Mario. Hopefully, the trailer will alleviate those concerns.
