dying light 2 delayed

Dying Light 2 delayed with no new release date given

Dying Light 2 has been delayed indefinitely, with no new release date begin given for the upcoming survival horror action game. In an update posted to Twitter, developer Techland noted that the game would no longer hit its release window of Spring 2020, assuring fans that they would receive more details “in the coming months.”

Dying Light 2‘s delay follows a number of high-profile changes to 2020’s release calendar, with Cyberpunk 2077, Final Fantasy 7 Remake, and Marvel’s Avengers among the games delayed this year. Now Techland is following suit, with Dying Light 2 previously expected to release between March–June.

Techland released the following update to its community:

“To our dedicated Community:

It was a busy year for us as we continued working on our biggest project to date. We know you are awaiting the game eagerly, and we want to deliver exactly what we promised.

We were initially aiming for a Spring 2020 release with Dying Light 2, but we unfortunately we need more development time to fulfill our vision. We will have more details to share in the coming months, and will get back to you as soon as we have more information. We apologize for this unwelcome news. Our priority is to deliver an experience that lives up to our own high standards and to the expectations of you, our fans.

Please stay tuned, and thank you to our fans around the world for your continued support, patience, and understanding.”

While 2020 has already been filled with game delays, this one is unusual given that no new release window has been provided. This suggests that Dying Light 2 is still a while away from being ready for launch, though we’ll have to wait for a future update from Techland.
