Two new Masterminds have been revealed for Resident Evil Resistance, and one of them lets you play as Wesker… kind of. This upcoming Resident Evil 3 Remake multiplayer experience is about to get a whole lot more robust.
Alex Wesker and Ozwell E. Spencer are joining the roster of malicious Masterminds to fight the players according to the PlayStation Blog post. While Resident Evil: Resistance features four players trying to survive an onslaught of traps and enemies, players also have the option to play as the Mastermind and control the spawning of said traps and enemies.

Although the first of the pair is a Wesker, it’s not that Wesker. Alex Wesker popped up in Resident Evil Revelations 2 as one of the many subjects of the Wesker Project. Unlike Albert Wesker, Alex prefers to use subterfuge and cunning to accomplish her goals.
As for Ozwell E. Spencer, he is one of the company’s founders who has a problem with the whole “dying” thing. He’s experimented with eugenics and genetic engineering, leading to many of the horrors that players face in the franchise.
You’ll be able to play as either of these two new Resident Evil Resistance Masterminds when the game launches on April 3, 2020.
