As many of us are stuck at home, price gougers are inflating the Nintendo Switch price to insane levels. Official stock has run out in most online stores, and a handful of third-party sellers are charging nearly double on stores like Amazon and eBay.
Amazon price tracking website CamelCamelCamel shows that the neon controller bundle with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe hit a high of $549.00 yesterday, well above its MSRP of $299.99. The reality, however, is much worse.

Current listings on Amazon have the console priced as high as $649.00 with the lowest currently-available price at $569.00. That doesn’t include tax, mind, so your best possible deal is still likely well over $600.
eBay isn’t much better in some cases. Both new and used consoles are going for $400.00 or more, although there are a handful of listings available at saner prices.
Nintendo will hopefully be restocking their Nintendo Switches in the next few weeks. If you want one now, well, the Nintendo Switch price is pretty darn nuts. Be prepared to pay a lot more if you just can’t wait.
