Canceled Prince of Persia Redemption gameplay

Canceled Prince of Persia Redemption gameplay has been on YouTube for years

Believe it or not, canceled Prince of Persia Redemption gameplay has been on YouTube for over eight years — and nobody really noticed. This intense video shows more than three minutes of gameplay from Prince of Persia Redemption, a game from Ubisoft that ultimately never saw the light of day.

The trailer popped up on the ResetEra gaming forum which also has some additional facts. For example, Ubisoft Assistant Technical Director Marc-André Belleau commented on the YouTube video two years ago, asking the uploader where he or she managed to get the video.

That’s not all, though. That same ResetEra poster did a bit of digging and discovered one Christophe Prélot, a 3D artist who worked at Ubisoft for nearly five years. It appears that Prince of Persia Redemption was one of his projects as noted in his LinkedIn page:

According to the LinkedIn description, this game was originally intended to launch for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.

It’s pretty amazing that this has been sitting on YouTube for years and only a handful of people have seen it. At the time of writing, this video has only 600 views on it. It’s sure to get a lot more popular in the coming days. You can check out the canceled Prince of Persia Redemption gameplay below.
