Giancarlo Esposito, most famous for his villainous roles in The Mandalorian, Breaking Bad, and Better Call Saul, is reportedly set to star in Far Cry 6. This follows the actor’s revelation that he was working on a “huge” video game, indicating that Esposito could play the villain in the as-yet-unannounced Ubisoft sequel.
The news comes from a now-deleted article from Gamereactor UK, with the game reportedly set to be revealed during the Ubisoft Forward digital event on July 12. No further details regarding his role have been revealed.
After Esposito’s initial claim, it was widely speculated that he’d be appearing in Far Cry and portraying a villain. Given his prior history on the Breaking Bad series and most recently as antagonist Moff Gideon in The Mandalorian, fans expected he would continue to play the bad guy in his next game role. Given that Far Cry is mostly known for its over-the-top villains, it seems like a perfect fit.
Esposito’s role in Far Cry 6 has yet to be revealed, with Ubisoft having yet to confirm Far Cry 6 on its end. We’ll have to wait until Ubisoft Forward to receive more information, where we’ll reportedly get to see the next Far Cry in action in a trailer.
