PlayStation developer Ready at Dawn is currently working on an ambitious new title exclusive to Sony's next-gen console. In case you didn't already know, the game is called The Order: 1886 and it looks freakin' amazing.
The latest issue of Game Informer is jam-packed with details on this alternate history action game, and believe it or not, it's just as amazing visually as the reveal trailer would have you believe. According to the cover story, "the visuals on display in [the debut] trailer represent The Order’s in-game graphical quality."
In addition, the issue sheds some light on the game's plot and setting. In The Order, "players step into the shoes of a knight who is part of an ancient order sworn to protect humanity from the threat of monstrous half-breed creatures." It is this conflict that serves as backdrop and driving force to the rest of the game's pseudo-historic narrative.
The game's protagonist, Sir Galahad, is a seasoned knight of this aforementioned order, serving as one of its leaders. We also know of a younger female knight, known as Lady Igraine, who apparently has some sort of romantic relationship with Galahad. Let the sparks fly.
