After a long period of silence and some teases, Ubisoft has revealed the Scott Pilgrim: The World: The Game Complete Edition. This re-release of the 2010 brawler is coming to PS4, Xbox One, PC, Stadia, and the Switch sometime in holiday 2020. No specific release date or price was given. There was also didn’t mention any PS5 or Xbox Series X port.
Ubisoft revealed this at its second Ubisoft Forward event. The trailer celebrated both the game and the film’s recent 10th anniversary before playing some footage from the acclaimed video game. It will include both the Knives Chau and Wallace Wells DLC, but it doesn’t appear to contain any new content.
This has been a long time coming. The game was pulled from digital storefronts in 2014 and fans have rallied to get it back. There was some back and forth and the ball seemed to finally get rolling back in August. While it seemed likely last month, director Edgar Wright put forth another tease telling people to keep an eye on Scott Pilgrim creator Bryan Lee O’Malley’s Twitter page. O’Malley, after a few cheeky teases of his own, responded after the trailer went live and thanked the fans.
