[Update] Players, including GR's Daniel Bischoff, are reporting that the cash has appeared in their in-game bank accounts. Load up GTA Online and get to spending!
[Update] Patch 1.05 for Grand Theft Auto Online is now available for download, Rockstar Games has just announced. In addition, the company has confirmed that gamers' online cash compensation to make up for the rough launch will be rolling out in the next couple of days.
[Original] Rockstar Games has announced that GTA Online gamers' $500,000 of digital money will be dished out next week.
The hefty sum of in-game cash was supposed to be delivered to early adopters of the game last month, but was delayed to ensure the game's online component was polished to a point Rockstar was happy with. Apparently that time has come.
Patch 1.05 is supposed to roll out next week, bringing with it the GTA$ Stimulus package soon thereafter. "Currently, we expect the next title update (1.05) addressing player progress loss issues to be available sometime early next week," Rockstar said.
"Following that, we hope to deliver everyone’s GTA$ Stimulus Package before the end of next week. A big thank you to GTA Online players worldwide for your continued patience and understanding and we will continue to keep you all updated."
