Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 Switch, PS5, Xbox Series X/S versions teased

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 Switch, PS5, Xbox Series X/S versions teased

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 was one of the best-reviewed games of 2020, but it only came out on three platforms: PC, PS4, and Xbox One. This left out the Switch as well as the soon-to-be-released PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. However, the Birdman himself appears to have teased a Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 Switch version in addition to set of PS5 and Xbox Series X/S ports.

Is Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 coming to the Switch, PS5, or Xbox Series X/S?

Tony Hawk (the person) tweeted at the official Crash Bandicoot account asking the orange marsupial if he could help get Tony Hawk (the game) to “new platforms.” While initially vague, the usually-silent Nintendo of America account responded to the Crash account saying “C’mon Crash make it happen for @TonyHawkTheGame” along with quote tweeting the request with some googly eyes.

Although not totally confirmed, this heavily implies that a Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 Switch port is coming somewhere down the line. However, this could also mean that the duo of skating remasters is headed to the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, too, as Crash 4, a fellow Activision-published entity, is coming to those current-gen machines and Switch on March 12. Current PS4 and Xbox One owners will get free upgrade so it is plausible that would also apply to a hypothetical Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 PS5 and Xbox Series X/S version.

Microsoft and Sony have yet to get in with their own coy tweets. But given how Crash is making the jump to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S and how Hawk didn’t specifically point to just the Switch, it’s not out of the question that Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 would hit the new batch of consoles, too. Aside from the aforementioned Crash 4, many games from 2020 have been getting current-gen ports. Maneater, Mortal Shell (which is unconfirmed but trophy lists have appeared online on trophy sites like PSNProfiles), and Nioh 2 are just a few of the most recent titles to step into the new generation.
