Injustice movie voice cast

Injustice movie is ditching the game’s classic voice cast

The Injustice movie voice cast has been revealed along with the first image from the eagerly-anticipated game adaptation, and it suggests the movie will divulge a little from what fans may be used to. The Injustice voice actors for the movie are wildly different from the cast used in the games, which included veterans from the likes of Justice League: The Animated Series and Batman: Arkham games. Furthermore, the Injustice movie plot may differ too, as the animation contains several characters who weren’t in the games.

Who is in the Injustice movie voice cast?

The full voice cast for the Injustice: Gods Among Us animated movie is as follows:

  • Justin Hartley as Superman
  • Anson Mount as Batman
  • Janet Varney as Wonder Woman
  • Brian T. Delaney as Green Lantern
  • Brandon Michael Hall as Cyborg
  • Yuri Lowenthal as Mirror Master, Flash and Shazam
  • Kevin Pollak as Joker and Jonathan Kent
  • Gillian Jacobs as Harley Quinn
  • Laura Bailey as Lois Lane and Rama Kushna
  • Derek Phillips as Nightwing and Aquaman
  • Anika Noni Rose as Catwoman
  • Reid Scott as Green Arrow and Victor Zsasz
  • Zach Callison as Damian Wayne and Jimmy Olsen
  • Edwin Hodge as Mr. Terrific and Killer Croc
  • Oliver Hudson as Plastic Man
  • Faran Tahir as Ra’s al Ghul
  • Fred Tatasciore as Captain Atom
  • Andrew Morgado as Mirror Master Soldier

A few incredibly familiar names in there. Superman’s Justin Hartley played Green Arrow in Smallville, Batman’s Anson Mount is Captain Pike in Star Trek: Discovery, and Wonder Woman’s Janet Varnet is Korra in The Legend of Korra, amongst others.

However, the big question is why Warner Bros Animation isn’t bringing back the voice cast from the Injustice games — which includes veterans such as Kevin Conroy (Batman), George Newbern (Superman), Susan Eisenberg (Wonder Woman), Khary Payton (Cyborg), and Tara Strong (Harley Quinn), who have been voicing these characters for decades, including in other animated movies.

Furthermore, a quick look at the character roster suggests a different plot than the games or comics. It looks like the movie will be adapting the Injustice: Year One comic, but with differences — Ra’s Al Ghul didn’t feature in the series until the Injustice 2 tie-in comic, for example, and Rama Kushna didn’t enter until Year Three. Regardless, fans will know more when the movie’s first look appears next week, and hopefully Injustice 3 will get announced at DC Fandome in October.
