Is Spider-Man swinging into Fortnite? If recent leaks are to be believed, then a Fortnite and Spider-Man crossover is on its way. Spidey is far from the first Marvel character to land in Epic Games’ battle royale, and with the new movie out soon, the stars seem to be aligning.
Is there a Fortnite Spider-Man skin?
If leaks and datamines are to be believed, then yes, Spider-Man could be heading into Fortnite very soon.
That’s according to information tweeted by HYPEX, one of the most reliable and notorious Fortnite leakers in the industry. They uncovered an item named the Web-Slinger, with a slew of exclusive abilities. It will allow Fortnite players to shoot ropes to swing across the map with — not dissimilar to Spider-Man’s web-swinging abilities. With assets named ‘Swing Attach Location’ and ‘Swing Jump,’ it certainly sounds like Spidey’s abilities.

However, the Spider-Man angle is as yet unconfirmed. It’s currently speculation, based on the name of this uncovered item, and the properties it’ll have. There aren’t any pop culture characters more synonymous with swinging across detachable webs like Spider-Man. Equally, the new Spider-Man movie is due for release this December. Considering there’s currently a Venom skin in Fortnite — made by the same studio as Spider-Man movies — the evidence certainly adds up.
Of course, it’s currently speculative — thought the signs are looking good for Spidey fans. Fortnite is no stranger to Marvel collabs, with characters like Mystique and Groot previously available in the Item Shop.
When is the Fortnite Spider-Man skin release date?
Since Epic Games hasn’t confirmed the skin, we don’t have a concrete release date. However, the new Spider-Man movie is due out on December 17, 2021. As such, expect to see the skin by December this year.
