Dead Rising 3 DLC Revealed, Timed Demo On The Way [Update: DLC Delayed]

[Update] Dead Rising 3's Operation Eagle DLC has been delayed. The add-on content was supposed to release on December 24th, but has been pushed to January 21st.

"Adding new content to the massive open world of Los Perdidos is a major undertaking, and to ensure we provide the best possible experience for players, we are putting a few additional weeks of polish and testing into the episode before it’s released. Stay tuned for additional updates," a Microsoft rep told Shacknews.

[Original] Capcom has just announced the first piece of downloadable content for Dead Rising 3. It's called Operation Eagle and tasks you with finding the President of the United States, who has gone missing.

In this digital add-on, you play as Spec Ops commander Adam Kane, who's got five new weapons and a new vehicle at his disposal. All of the experience points you earn throughout the expansion will carry over to the main game. Operation Eagle will be priced at $9.99. Three more packs are on the way, so if you plan on nabbing all four, you're better off going with the season pass for $29.99.

An Xbox spokesperson has informed Kotaku that Operation Eagle will launch on December 24th.

In addition, the studio announced a demo, which is coming to Xbox Live. It provides players with a 20-minute preview of the experience. You'll be able to play it twice per gamertag.
