Xbox Game Pass February 2022

Xbox Game Pass Adds Madden 22, Total War: Warhammer 3, and More in February

Microsoft has announced eight new titles coming to Xbox Game Pass throughout the rest of February 2022. As well as the one game added to their Xbox Cloud Gaming service today, there are two console titles and five PC games heading to Xbox Game Pass starting on Thursday, including Madden NFL 22.

What’s coming to Xbox Game Pass in February?

Mass Effect Legendary Edition is now available on Xbox Cloud Gaming thanks to EA Play. In addition to this, Dreamscaper, Firewatch, Lake, The Pedestrian, Yakuza 3 Remastered, and Yakuza 4 Remastered have all had Xbox Touch Controls added so they can now be played on PC, Android and iOS devices without the need for a controller.

While Lawn Mowing Simulator is already on Xbox Game Pass for Xbox Series X|S players, an Xbox One version of the game was due to be added to the service on Thursday, February 17. This game has now been delayed to a later date for an unknown reason. Despite this delay, Madden NFL 22 will still be released on console and PC through EA Play, and the day one release of Total War: Warhammer III will join Game Pass on PC on February 17.

Later on in the month, the Game Preview version of PC title Roboquest will join Xbox Game Pass on February 22. Two days later on February 24, Super Mega Baseball 3 will be added for console players through EA Play while Galactic Civilizations III will appear for PC players. Finally, Alice: Madness Returns will be added to EA Play and Xbox Game Pass for PC on February 28.

A handful of new Game Pass perks have been added too. Right now, players can grab the Pass Tense BR75 Battle Rifle Bundle for Halo Infinite and the Lucky Loot Weapon Charm in Apex Legends. Those more interested in watching TV series and movies through their console can grab two months of ad-free Hulu too. In two days’ time on February 17, the Supercharge Pack will be available for Madden NFL 22, as will the Season 5 Special Pack on Eternal Return.

The Xbox Wire announcement didn’t bring all good news, though, as there are some games inevitably leaving the service at the end of the month. Hypnospace Outlaw, Killer Queen Black, Stealth Inc 2, and Touhou Luna Nights will all leave Xbox Game Pass on February 28. A day later on March 1, Titanfall will be removed from both Game Pass and EA Play, so if you’re in the middle of playing any of these titles, make sure you finish them up within the next couple of weeks.

In other news, The Gunk is coming to Steam and other PC platforms following its Game Pass success. Elsewhere, Pokemon Legends has achieved the franchise’s first positive user score on Metacritic for nearly ten years.
