Call of Duty: Vanguard Free Multiplayer Week Begins on All Platforms Today

Those who have yet to jump into the latest Call of Duty game can do so for free this week. Call of Duty: Vanguard is offering up another free COD multiplayer week beginning today, May 18. Players on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC will be able to try out all of the multiplayer modes and maps for seven days until May 24.

Call of Duty: Vanguard multiplayer free access week

COD Vanguard Multiplayer Free Week May 18

The COD Vanguard multiplayer free access week began at 10 am PT today, May 18, and will run until 9 am PT on May 24. Players get access to more than 20 multiplayer maps and ten multiplayer modes, including the new multiplayer map Mayhem that launched at the start of Season 3. The map is inspired by a 1950s monster movie set. While the map is fairly small, the small-scale replica of a metropolis with skyscrapers at its center and a traversable ocean makes it seem bigger. There are also the backstage areas that will make sure focus is always on close-quarters combat.

All players will be able to benefit from “maximum double XP”, meaning there will be double XP, double Weapon XP, double Operator XP, double Clan XP, and double Battle Pass XP. Any progress made during the multiplayer free access week will be transferred to the full version of the game whenever you decide to make a purchase. Be aware that if you decide to purchase any Vanguard Points or other DLC packs during the free week, once the week has ended they will remain inaccessible until you purchase the full version of the game (or until the next free access period).

In other news, Doctor Strange 2 apparently ripped off a fight sequence from an upcoming indie game called Sword of Symphony. Elsewhere, Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown has been canceled on PS4 and Xbox One so the developer can concentrate on getting the best out of the next-gen consoles.
