Comix Zone Among Four Sega Genesis Games Added to Nintendo Switch Online

The Sega Genesis library has been expanded once again for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members as Comix Zone, Mega Man: The Wily Wars, Target Earth, and Zero Wing will all be added today. This takes the total number of SEGA Genesis games to 29 in the Expansion Pack.

Four new games for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack

The four new Sega Genesis games were added to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack today, July 1, and Comix Zone is a fighting game where comic artist Sketch Turner finds himself lost in the Comix Zone, a comic he created himself. All enemies must be defeated frame by frame. Mega Man: The Wily Wars is a collection of the first three Mega Man games where the titular hero needs to defeat Wily’s robot masters to unlock Wily Tower and face the ultimate foe. Target Earth is a shooter where players don a mech suit and take on enemy Chron cyborgs across Earth. Finally, Zero Wing is a side-scrolling shmup where the Milky Way attack craft must defeat Cats and his band of space pirates.

The new quartet joins 25 other SEGA Genesis games in the collection, including titles such as Altered Beast, Castlevania: Bloodline, Contra: Hard Corps, Ecco the Dolphin, Golden Axe, Gunstar Heroes, Phantasy Star 4, Shinobi 3, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Streets of Rage 2, and ToeJam & Earl. You can find the full list on Nintendo’s website. The Genesis titles are part of the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack alongside a library of Nintendo 64 games and DLC for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Splatoon 2, and Animal Crossing: Happy Home Paradise.

In other gaming news, NZXT has announced a My Hero Academia H510i Rivals PC case design, which is part of the limited-edition CRFT line-up. Elsewhere, the Nintendo Switch 2 rumors have started up again following the registration of a trademark in Europe and a strange table in Nintendo’s financial results.
