Gamevice Flex Mobile Controller Lets Users Keep Phone Cases On

The Gamevice Flex mobile controller has been announced for iPhone and Android. It’s scheduled to release in September, though eager users can pre-order now to secure the new mobile gaming accessory. With mobile gaming becoming more and more popular, especially with the evolution of cloud gaming by titans like Xbox and PlayStation, there’s an increasing demand for mobile controllers that transform a phone into a portable gaming device. Where most mobile controllers force phones to ditch their protective cases, the Gamevice Flex lets users keep those cases on.

After working on the original Gamevice and Razer’s Kishi controller, the company has now revealed the Gamevice Flex, which aims to provide a “seamless transition from console to mobile cloud gaming.” The main way it does this is through its compatibility with thousands of different phone cases.

To achieve that level of phone case support, the Gamevice Flex comes with an adapter kit that can be tailored to the phone’s size. Support for Samsung and Apple’s first-party phone cases, as well as third-party options from Otterbox, UAG, and Casetify are showcased in the trailer embedded above.

Boasting hall effect triggers, full-size joysticks, improved ergonomics, a 3.5 mm jack, and power in port, the Gamevice Flex packs in many must-have features that mobile gamers demand.

For those hoping to use Xbox cloud services, the Gamevice Flex has the official “Designed for Xbox” label. The Flex also comes with a free month of Xbox Game Pass.

The Gamevice Flex is priced at $99.95 for the Android version and $109.95 for the iPhone version. It’s available for pre-order now and should ship in September.
