Give Money To Charity And Ask Steam Boss And Valve Founder Gabe Newell Anything On Reddit

Charity in the gaming industry and community is simply not new, but that doesn't stop Valve and Steam boss Gabe Newell from giving it a go with an incentive for Redditors and fans who've had burning questions on their minds since the release of Half-Life 2 Episode 2.

To promote the charity racing team he sponsors, Newell posted to Reddit asking for donations. The team's website describes Newell's role as "what all drivers and teams want—an engaged, passionate owner. While his financial resources and commitment are critical, it's his curiosity for the world of motorsports that sets him apart."

Yeah, yeah, yeah. All we wanna know is how this is gonna change the driving sequences in Half-Life 3.

Thankfully, we might have our chance to get that question and more answered. In promoting the racing team and asking for donations, Newell offered to do an AMA or Ask-Me-Anything post on Reddit.

Commenting in his original post, Newell wrote "I'll do an AMA once we hit $500K in donations to the hospital. How's that?" If this is all the excuse you need to donate to charity, more power to you.

Still, keep it together Internet. Just because you might get to ask Gaben something, doesn't mean you'll like the answer.
