Satya Nadella has been appointed the new Chief Executive Officer of Microsoft, the company announced today. Nadella formerly served as the executive VP of Microsoft’s Cloud and Enterprise group, where he managed the various computing platforms and cloud services at the company.
As far as what this might mean for the Xbox division? According to a report from The Verge, "Stephen Elop will still rejoin Microsoft shortly to lead an expanded devices team focused on Surface, Windows Phones, and Xbox."
The company has undergone several management shakeups over the past several months, so here's to hoping all the new blood in these executive roles pays off for the company and Xbox fans alike.
