Just a couple of days ago, the internet managed to complete Pokémon Red. You heard that right, the internet worked together (sort of) by inputing commands through a Twitch live stream chat to direct Pokémon trainer RED all the way through the Elite Four, essentially completing the game.
Believe it or not, the fun isn't ending there either, as a playthrough of Pokémon Crystal has already begun. You can visit the channel and participate yourself right here.
Twitch Plays Pokémon has turned into an absolute gaming phenomenon, resulting in the creation of made up religions, political factions, and all sorts of other craziness. Feel free to join in on the madness, but be aware of what you're diving into. From what I hear, it's quite the rabbit hole.
