Sony has had no problem getting consumers to shell out $400 for a shiny new gaming console, as PlayStation 4 has been selling like hotcakes ever since it launched in November. In fact, PS4 is selling so well that Sony is struggling to keep up with demand.
Speaking to The Wall Street Journal, SCE president and CEO Andrew House explained that the company doesn't expect to fully catch up with demand until this summer. "We’re struggling to keep up with demand. Conservatively, as we get into the early summer months, we’ll be closer to a full supply situation."
PlayStation 4 global sales have already passed the 6 million mark, outpacing Microsoft's next-gen gaming box by a considerable margin. There's no doubt the folks over at Sony are incredibly pleased with how its latest console is doing.
