Hope this isn’t Chris’ blood. – Barry Burton
Resident Evil. It’s the reason I bought a PSOne. I’m sure many people can say the same. When I first
turned that corner to be greeted with a FMV cutscene of that Zombie feasting on flesh, I was sold for
life.
Granted the series hasn’t been as strong as it always was (although, I personally loved RE5), it’s easy to
remember those good ol’ days. And if you’re living in Japan, Capcom is making it very easy for you to
revisit those past titles that made the survival horror franchise what it is today.
As part of the Resident Evil 15th Anniversary celebration, Capcom is releasing a special boxed set
containing almost every main entry in the Resident Evil franchise ever released (or Biohazard, as it’s
known in Japan).
The set contains the following:
- Resident Evil Director's Cut (PSX)
- Resident Evil 2 (PSX)
- Resident Evil 3 Last Escape (PSX)
- Resident Evil Revival Selection (PS3)
- Resident Evil Code: Veronica soundtrack
- Resident Evil 4 soundtrack
- 15th anniversary items: Pins & Stickers (STARS & Umbrella)
- Spacer
Resident Evil Revival Selection contains remastered versions of Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil Code
Veronica. That “Spacer” is there so you can add your copy of Resident Evil 5 or RE5: Gold Edition to the
set. Kinda lame – why they didn’t just add the now budget title is beyond me.
Regardless, this is one badass set for long-time fans of the series and it will set you back less then $100
(¥7,800). Now, if you’ll excuse me I’m off to fix me a Jill sandwich.
