EA CEO explains its lack of Nintendo Switch support
EA CEO Andrew Wilson has commented on the absence of EA games for the Nintendo Switch. He claims that EA has “a lot of data that would suggest a great many Switch owners also own a PlayStation 4 or an Xbox One or a PC, and very often choose to play the games that [EA makes] on those platforms.”
Despite his comments, Wilson did admit that there is a possibility that The Sims could launch on the Switch, saying: “I wouldn’t say that The Sims would never go to the Switch.”
Hideo Kojima says Death Stranding devs are in ‘crunch time’ to complete the game
The mastermind behind many of the Metal Gear games and now Death Stranding, Hideo Kojima, has caused controversy by tweeting that his development team is in “crunch time,” which is an unpleasant period where devs work long hours under extreme stress to hit targets.
It seems like a poor choice of words from Kojima, with many responses to the tweet being negative. At the time of writing, he has yet to follow up his “crunch time” tweet.
Destiny 2: Shadowkeep release date delayed to October
Originally scheduled for a September 17 release, the Destiny 2: Shadowkeep release date has been delayed until October 1. The free-to-play Destiny 2: New Light version of the game has also been delayed until this time.
Bungie’s Luke Smith stated that the reason for the delay was that “Shadowkeep would benefit from a little more time on the workbench.”
The Smash Ultimate Dragon Quest hero can instakill
The Smash Ultimate Hero character has now been fully revealed and he’s already stirring up controversy within the game’s community. The Dragon Quest hero makes his entrance with some interesting moves, one of which has a chance of instantly killing an opponent.
This element of chance has not gone down well with members of the Smash community, with many players already labeling the Hero as overpowered. As a paid-for character, the Hero could be seen as pay-to-win.
It’s not yet clear what Nintendo plans to do about the feedback from fans.

Ninja leaves Twitch for Microsoft’s Mixer
The record-setting livestreamer Tyler “Ninja” Blevins has revealed that he’s leaving streaming platform Twitch for an exclusivity deal with Microsoft’s Mixer. Ninja announced the move on his Twitter account, saying that “[he had] been holding on to this for quite some time, and [he’s] super excited to let everyone know.”
Prior to his departure, Ninja was the most followed streamer on Twitch, with over 14 million followers in total. This is 8 million more than his nearest competitor, Shroud, who boasts 6 million followers.
It looks like Microsoft is looking to cause a major shift with the purchase of Ninja’s loyalty, likely hoping that fans and fellow streamers will join the top streamer on the new platform.
