Apex Legends community furious over new item packs
Apex Legends players who are frustrated about the new Iron Crown event, which implements a number of new microtransaction loot boxes, have made their frustrations known on Reddit. The most common criticism targets the Iron Crown Collection Packs’ high price tag, with a single pack costing 700 Coins (about $7 worth of the game’s premium currency). Players who want to get all of the new unlocks, coming to 25 in total, will need to spend between $189-$203.
Sjin sexual harassment allegations prompt Yogscast departure
Yogcast founder Lewis Brindley has announced that creator Sjin has left the network following sexual harassment allegations. This is the third creator to leave the network due to allegations of misconduct.
Posting on the community’s subreddit, Sjin stated: “For a long time I’ve chatted privately with community members but I’ve come to realise this behaviour might not be considered appropriate by everybody.”
‘Ultimate’ Fortnite weapon created by disgruntled community
Players who are unhappy with the current state of Fortnite — largely due to the Brute mech that was added at the beginning of the new season — have created an “ultimate weapon” as a sarcastic retort to Epic Games’ justification for having the mech in the game to help more casual players achieve a win. The fan-designed grenade’s description reads: “A player with this grenade can throw it for an instant Victory Royale.”
Minecraft Super Duper Graphics Pack canceled
If you were hoping to see Minecraft in glorious 4K with major graphical upgrades, as promised by Mojang back in E3 2016, there is some sad news. The Minecraft Super Duper Graphics Pack has been canceled and so won’t be coming to the game.
Fake Apex Legends and Fortnite cheats have been infecting players with malware
Some of those looking to get an unfair advantage in games like Apex Legends and Fortnite have been infected by malware. Players clicking and downloading software advertised as “cheats” by suspicious-looking YouTube videos, have been hit with the “Baldr” malware.

Control Spanish dub has ‘amateur-level’ acting and sound quality
The Spanish version of Control is sounding a little rough, with the dubbed version not holding up to the usual quality expected by players in Spain. A comment on YouTube said that the Control “looks like a game of 10 years ago and a dubbing of 20.” Neither developer Remedy Entertainment nor publisher 505 Games have given a comment about the Spanish dub issues.
