Anda Seat Kaiser 4 Gaming Chair Review

With the Anda Seat Kaiser 4, the company aims to enhance its established line of gaming chairs with a highly customizable lumbar support system, five-directional armrests, increased stability, and more. Additionally, the chair comes in a wide range of colors to match all gaming setups. Here is my review after building and using the Kaiser 4.

First, the build

Anda Seat is no stranger to shipping gaming chairs that are to be assembled by the end user. Therefore, it’s unsurprising to see that the instructions are clear and easy to follow. While the number of parts and bolts might be initially overwhelming to newcomers, the pieces quickly come together, and the build process shouldn’t take longer than 20-25 minutes if you are careful. I’d recommend having another person available for some of the maneuvers, as the chair is hefty, though I did manage it alone.

Pick a color, any color

Anda Seat Kaiser 4 review

When it’s set up, the Kaiser 4 looks impressive. While I was sent the Cloudy White PVC Leather version, which does look great, buyers may want to consider one of the many other color options. Robin Egg Blue and Classic Maroon look quite unique.

I’m not the biggest fan of PVC leather on gaming chairs, even if it is a very common material. I much prefer the Linen Fabric, as it’s less likely to make me sweat during the hotter summer months. Thankfully, Anda Seat does offer fabric options at no additional cost.

Comprehensive support

One of the Kaiser 4’s main attractions is the new lumbar system. This took some tuning to get right, but I’m overall very happy with the pop-out design and how users can move it up and down into the right place. There’s a lot of flexibility here, and even my taller frame was satisfied.

The “5D” armrests are also interesting. Though I was already happy with the four-directional armrests used previously, the added tilt is sure to be useful to someone.

Anda Seat Kaiser 4 review

I’ve always been a fan of Anda Seat’s head pillows. This time around, the cooling surface attaches via magnets, meaning you don’t have to fiddle around with any straps that can easily come loose.

The final feature highlight is the 135-degree recline and 15-degree rocking modes. While previous chairs offered a wide range of movement, the Kaiser 4 feels more stable.

Final Verdict

At $539, the Anda Seat Kaiser 4 is a more premium option. While I think the pricing is a little too steep, the improved lumbar support, new armrests, and other enhancements help to justify the cost somewhat. And if users are looking for a particular color, there’s surely a Kaiser 4 option available.

Positives and Negatives

  • Highly customizable lumbar support system
  • Wide range of color options
  • Clear and easy-to-follow assembly instructions
  • Great features throughout
  • Some features like the 5D armrests seem overkill
  • High price at $539
