This Line Rider Video Set to ‘In the Hall of the Mountain King’ is Super Impressive

A video of a Line Rider level set to Edvard Grieg’s ‘In the Hall of the Mountain King’ has gone viral, with the end result of YouTuber DoodleChaos’ efforts suitably impressive the internet.

The 2006 Flash game allows players to guide a cyclist along a series of pencil lines, with there having been multiple impressive tracks created over the years. However, this latest video sets the Line Rider’s journey to Grieg’s 1875 orchestral classic, with DoodleChaos transforming the game into a musical.

The video sees the Line Rider starting off with a serious of gentle leads, before his adventure promptly descends into mayhem. DoodleChaos claims that the video took him a month to complete, with it having garnered thousands of views since he uploaded it last week.

The song ‘In the Hall of the Mountain King’ was taken from the Norwegian play Peer Gynt in the 19th century. The play, penned by dramatist Henrik Ibsen, sees the title character entering into an immense hall occupied by Dovregubben, the troll Mountain King. The song is intended to portray the chaos of the scene, in which Dovregubben and his trolls attempt to slay Peer Gynt.
