Red Dead Redemption 2 Rhodes Horse Fire Bug

Red Dead Redemption 2 Rhodes Horse Fire Bug – How to Find the Cursed Road Glitch

Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption 2 is out now and it’s a huge, expansive game with hundreds of hours of content to wade through, so it’s not surprising that the game also has a few bugs here and there. Perhaps the most terrifying is the Red Dead Redemption 2 Rhodes Horse Fire Bug, which if you’re not careful will cost you your favorite steed. But what is it, and where is it? How do you avoid it? We’re here with the answers.

What is the Red Dead Redemption 2 Rhodes Horse Fire Bug?

In the massive world of Red Dead Redemption 2 there are surely many bugs and glitches, but the Rhodes Horse Fire bug, otherwise known as the Cursed Road Glitch, is something special. It’s a particular point on a road where there seems to be an invisible fire spot, and if you go through it you catch on fire. Since it’s on a road, there are a lot of horses going past this spot, which can lead to some horrible moments of fiery horse carnage.

Where to Find the Cursed Road Glitch

Red Dead Redemption 2 Rhodes Horse Fire Bug Map

The Red Dead Redemption 2 Rhodes Horse Fire Bug is located, as its name suggests, on a particular path in the town of Rhodes. It’s just north-west of Rhodes in fact, on an intersection where three roads go into one. You can see it on the map above.

If you go to that area, and ride around a bit, back and forth at the crossroads, your horse may suddenly catch on fire and die. Make sure you save beforehand or get a fresh horse you don’t care about. Alternatively, park yourself by the side of the road and watch NPCs arrive and burst into flames. It can be quite a horrible sight.

However, it doesn’t always work. While many people on social media have been posting about the glitch, we ourselves went to Rhodes to test it out and found nothing. We don’t think it’s been patched out yet, but there may be something else triggering the glitch for some people. Go and see for yourself if you like, but don’t blame us when you get too close and your best horse bursts into flames. You can get it back though, at least… right?
