At the second ID@Xbox Game Pass showcase, Microsoft revealed 11 titles coming to Xbox Game Pass. Despite what the name might suggest, not all of these Xbox Game Pass indies are coming to the Xbox One console. Some will be exclusive to PC, adding to the library of the Xbox Game Pass for PC announced last month. No specific release dates were given.
Microsoft announced six titles coming soon to both PC and Xbox, including casual farming sim My Time at Portia, RTS Bad North, turn-based tactical game Worms W.M.D., roguelike platformer GoNNeR, beautiful tactics RPG The Banner Saga 3, and pinball-platformer Yoku’s Island Express. Five games are coming to Xbox Game Pass on PC: point-and-click adventures Unavowed and Machinarium, Chucklefish-published Timespinner, acclaimed RPG Undertale, and roguelike RPG For The King.
Along with these game announcements, the ID@Xbox Game Pass showcase detailed upcoming titles already announced for the Xbox Game Pass. The showcase included an interview with Bloober Team, the developers of Blair Witch, one of E3 2019’s most surprising announcements. Other highlights from the showcase include a chat with Devolver Digital about the publisher’s current and upcoming Xbox Game Pass indies and a look at “pinbrawler” Creature in the Well. The showcase also gave viewers a look at Anthony Tan’s peaceful and deer-centric Way to the Woods, the stylish, JRPG love-letter Star Renegades, and Nicolas Guérin’s beautiful, death-focused management sim Spiritfarer. All of these games are coming to the Xbox Game Pass at launch as Xbox Game Pass indie titles.
These titles will join other Xbox Game Pass indies like Killer Queen Black, Outer Wilds and Void Bastards, shown off in Microsoft’s first ID@Xbox Game Pass showcase in March. We’ve called the Xbox Game Pass gaming’s most valuable subscription, and the addition of indies like these only strengthens that value.
