Can't find a Nintendo Switch grab

Can’t find a Nintendo Switch? More consoles are on the way

If you can’t find a Nintendo Switch, there’s some good news: the Japanese hardware and software manufacturer is seriously ramping up production. New parts orders may mean a swift end to the Nintendo Switch shortage that has seen prices skyrocket around the world.

Parts suppliers are being told to prep for a 10% increase in production according to Nikkei. In some instances, the companies making components for the Nintendo Switch have received orders 50% larger than anticipated.

Although Nintendo is keen on producing roughly 2 million more consoles this year, their plans depend on their tech partners making the components they need.

“We hope [suppliers] will be responsive to the production increase, but for procurement of some parts, the outlook remains uncertain, and we can’t forecast exactly how many Switches can be supplied,” a Nintendo representative said to Nikkei.

Still, it looks like good news for those of you who can’t find a Nintendo Switch. Whether or not Nintendo (and its part suppliers) can actually deliver on their ambitions is another matter entirely.
