22 years after the launch of Crash Bandicoot: Warped (Crash 3), it looks like fans are finally set to get the sequel they’ve been waiting for. Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time was recently leaked, with the responsible Taiwanese ratings board botch pointing towards upcoming PS4 and Xbox One versions. Could it be coming to Nintendo’s hybrid handheld console as well, though? Stick around as we explore whether there’s a Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time Nintendo Switch version on the horizon.
Is Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time coming to Nintendo Switch?
Currently, there are no known plans to release Crash Bandicoot 4 on Switch. There’s no Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time Nintendo Switch release date as a result.

Although the leak making no mention of a Switch port isn’t a good sign, there’s still hope for Crash fans. Activision has been pretty good to Switch owners, especially where mascot characters like Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon are concerned. The Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy and Spyro Reignited Trilogy both made their way to Switch after debuting on other consoles first; that could be the case here, explaining why a potential Nintendo Switch version hasn’t been submitted for certification (yet).
That being said, Activision is inconsistent with these things. Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled hit Switch on day one, whereas the upcoming THPS Remastered hasn’t been announced for Switch.
Perhaps the best indicator, however, is that Crash 4 dev Toys for Bob has prior experience developing for the platforms. Both Skylanders: Imaginators and Spyro Reignited Trilogy launched on Nintendo Switch, which means that 100% of games released by the studio after the Switch debuted in 2017 have made their way to it.
Activision and Toys for Bob must see value in the platform to have supported it in the past. Throw in an established Crash fanbase and we wouldn’t be surprised to see the sequel on Switch. Only time will tell, though, so stick with us for updates.
