A new update has players wondering when the Animal Crossing: New Horizons Brewster release date is. The addition of Brewster’s Cafe to the game would bring back a fan-favorite NPC to the Nintendo Switch, but players have already been waiting for some time — and they might have to wait even longer.
When is the Animal Crossing: New Horizons Brewster release date?
Brewster is an NPC in the Animal Crossing who runs Brewster’s Cafe. This special location allows players to drink coffee, eventually gaining the ability to take their coffee on the go and even get a part-time job. Sadly, he was not announced as a returning NPC back when Franklin and Jingle were confirmed as coming to the game. That leaves us with one question — when is the Animal Crossing: New Horizons Brewster release date?
Nintendo has yet to announce Brewster or Brewster’s Cafe for Animal Crossing: New Horizons. The game launched in March 2020 and it went all the way through the rest of the year without revealing Brewster for the game. If he’s coming to the game at all, players will likely have to wait until 2021 at the minimum.
Furthermore, there’s the possibility that Brewster could come to the game and his cafe could not. For example, Animal Crossing: New Horizons has many special NPCs, most of whom are returning from previous games. Some of these NPCs (such as the Able Sisters) can eventually build their own shop. Other NPCs, however, aren’t yet able to build their own shop at all, instead providing services to the player by temporarily showing up on the island or setting up a portable shop in the town square.
There’s still a good possibility that players will see the Animal Crossing: New Horizons Brewster release date sooner rather than later. Successive updates have revealed the return of Reese & Cyrus, Rover, Pascal, Jack, Franklin, and Jingle — although not all of these NPCs returned in quite the same way that players had hoped. Still, Animal Crossing: New Horizons has quickly become one of the most popular games on the Nintendo Switch — Nintendo is surely considering adding Brewster to appease the old fans and introduce our favorite coffee-brewing bird to some new ones.
