The Assassin’s Creed Mirage smoke bomb is yet another callback to the series’ roots. Basim has access to the smoke bomb that has been in many entries in the series. However, it is not unlocked from the get-go. Here’s how to get the smoke bomb in AC Mirage.
How to get the smoke bomb in AC Mirage
To get the smoke bomb in Assassin’s Creed Mirage, you first need to progress the story. After a few hours of playing, you will eventually get a mission to assassinate The Slaver named Al-Ghul or Mas’ood Al-Ya’qoob. Once you have taken care of him, you will be herded back to the Hidden Ones bureau. From there, you will meet a new character named Ibn Musa. This will be the character you will go to for tools like this.
From there, you can choose what kind of tool you want to unlock as you third tool (next to the throwing knives and torch that you are automatically given). You can pick any of the tools on display, which includes the smoke bomb. The smoke bomb is likely the most versatile of the bunch, too, as it can be used offensively, defensively, and for stealth. This makes it the ideal item to pick first.
If you did not pick the smoke bomb first or want to choose something else after killing Al-Ghul, you won’t get locked out of the smoke bomb. Instead, you will have to spend skill points to get it. There are three skills in the Trickster skill tree that unlock the other tools. Once you unlock one of those skills, go back to one of the Musa brothers in the Hidden Ones bureaus and pick the tool you want.
Musa is also the person you have to talk to to upgrade the tools. This will cost leather, steel ingots, and components.
