Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Fast Travel Unlock How District Teleport Map

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Fast Travel: How to Unlock Teleport Between Districts

The process of unlocking Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 fast travel system is not as difficult as it was in the past two games in the series. In both the first Marvel’s Spider-Man and Miles Morales, you had to reach a certain point through the main mission questline before you could effectively teleport around the map. In Spider-Man 2, fast travel is technically available once you’ve completely the opening chapter, but you still need to quite a lot to gain access to it. Here’s how to unlock fast travel in Spiderman 2 for PS5.

How to unlock Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 fast travel

To unlock fast travel in Spider-Man 2, you need to reach the second tier of district progress in each of the districts of New York City.

It does take some time to earn enough points to fill the district progress meter. The fastest way is to complete crime reports that randomly spawn as you swing your way across the city. A red triangle will appear on the map with a notification that shows you the type of crime that’s happening, and clearing it will net you some progress. Completing side missions like Marko’s Memories and Photo Ops will also build the meter as well.

If you’re diligent with the alerts and the small number of side objectives, it’s possible to unlock fast travel for a district around the third or fourth main mission when it’s still quite early. This will make it much easier later in the game to speed up travel, so we recommend building that district meter as soon as you can.

Once fast travel is unlocked for a district, all you need to do is head to the map and hold the triangle button to teleport anywhere within that district. Teleporting will be disabled during specific main missions so that certain cutscenes and events can be played out, but otherwise, you can fast travel whenever you like.
