A Diablo 4 crossplay not working bug is preventing players from accessing cross-platform multiplayer across consoles and PC. This bug is particularly frustrating for players that normally play the game with a group of friends. While some players turn off crossplay in general in the game to reduce stuttering and slightly boost performance, others have delayed their progress in the season until it works. Here’s whether crossplay has been disabled at all and if there is a fix for Diablo 4 cross-platform play on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, and PC.
How to fix Diablo 4 crossplay not working bug
To fix crossplay or cross-platform play in Diablo 4, you need to wait for Blizzard to repair the feature.
We recommend checking the official Diablo 4 accounts on various social media platforms like Twitter, Reddit, or the forums to see if there are any updates on crossplay not working or when it might be fixed. On October 17, 2023, Blizzard revealed that there was a technical issue with crossplay between PC and consoles at the start of Season 2, or the Season of Blood. This led the developer to disable crossplay, or make it “temporarily unavailable.” At the time of writing, they have yet to resolve the issue or provide any updates on when it will return.
The bug is most likely related to the technical issue that delayed the start of Season 2 for several hours. Blizzard stated then that it had encountered complications and needed the extra time to investigate the issue. This is why many players were not able to access the servers in any way, encountering messages with Error Code 300010 and Error Code 34202, just to name a few.
At the very least, it’s clear that the developer is trying to restore the game quickly, with the game having already rolled out a fix for players not receiving rewards for the Season of Blood Battle Pass and Seasonal Journeys.
