Pokemon Let’s Go Legendary Pokemon: How to Catch Legendary Pokemon

Details of the Pokemon Let’s Go Legendary Pokemon have recently surfaced in a video posted by the official Pokemon YouTube account that showed players how to import Pokemon from Pokemon Go Although it was already common knowledge that the Let’s Go titles were going to be based on Ash’s original adventures, and therefore people knew that the game would feature the Legendary Birds of Kanto, it was not yet known whether or not there would be changes to the games’ capture mechanics. Many Pokemon Go players will be glad to hear that there have indeed been changes. Here’s a guide on how to catch Legendary Pokemon in Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu!, and Pokemon: Let’s Go, Eevee!

Pokemon Let’s Go Legendary Pokemon: How To Catch Them

Perhaps the most infuriating aspect of capturing Pokemon in mainline Pokemon games to date has been that if you make them faint, they’re gone for good. Most players will hard save before engaging a Legendary Pokemon, so that they can turn their device off and on again in order to get another try. However, this method is long and tedious, and can take a lot of the fun out of trying to catch a Legendary Pokemon.

In Pokemon Let’s Go, however, the Legendary Pokemon won’t be uncatchable if you make them faint. In fact, you need to beat them in a battle in order to even gain the chance to catch them. After you have defeated a Legendary Pokemon in combat, you will then gain the opportunity to try and catch them.

This addition will be welcomed by fans of the series all over the world, as it removes the stress of accidentally making the Legendary Pokemon faint. The one time you don’t want a critical hit is usually the time you end up landing one, sending a Moltres’ HP plummeting to 0. Luckily, you won’t have to turn your Switch off and back on every time you beat a Legendary Pokemon.

If you want to check out the capture mechanics in action, you can watch the video posted by The Official Pokemon YouTube channel here.

Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokemon: Let’s Go, Eevee! are set to be released for the Nintendo Switch on November 16, 2018.
