Fed up of Martin Tyler and Alan Smith? You’ll want to know how to turn off FIFA 19 commentary, and sharpish. Their repetitive banter, though, pales in comparison to the irritating earworms that can plague many a main menu and in-game Team Management tweak. If that’s the case, we’ve got you covered. We’ll show you how to turn off the FIFA 19 soundtrack, too, though even that comes with some interesting side effects unless you do it properly.
How to Turn Off FIFA 19 Commentary
First things first, head to the FIFA 19 main menu. From there, scroll along to the fourth and final tab: “Customise”
- Go to Settings
- Click Game Settings
- Toggle through to the fifth category, marked “Audio”
- Turn Sideline Commentator off; move the Commentary slider down to 0
How to Turn Off the FIFA 19 Soundtrack
To turn off the FIFA 19 soundtrack, follow steps 1-3 above. You’ll then need to scroll down further and find the “Music” slider. Turn that down to 0 and, voila, no more FIFA 19 soundtrack.
But there’s a catch. There’s always a catch. Doing this will also turn off all diegetic music, including the Champions League theme and other in-game songs which is a pain, to put it mildly.
To properly turn off the FIFA 19 soundtrack, you’re going to want to head to the main Customise landing again and make your way to EA Trax at the bottom right of the screen. Now you need to press Square/X (depending on your console, PC may vary), to turn off every single track. You can turn them all back on at any time from this menu.
Can I Remove Certain Songs in the FIFA 19 Soundtrack?
If you want to tweak the FIFA 19 soundtrack to fit your own tastes you can also do just that. The EA Trax page allows you to manually tick off which songs you want to play in the game. If you don’t mind me, I’m going to make sure Bakar’s Big Dreams is playing on a loop forever.
