Call of Duty Black Ops 4 is out now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC, but is the Black Ops Pass worth it? As with most games releasing nowadays, Black Ops 4 has a pass available to purchase either separately, or as part of a Digital Deluxe edition. Forking out for the Black Ops 4 Pass does give you extra content, but is it worth the added cost?
Black Ops Pass – What Do You Get in the Black Ops 4 Pass?
As with any extra pass in a modern game, paying $49.99 for the Black Ops pass does give you extra content. As of day one, it nets you an exclusive Blackout character and a bonus Zombies level: Classified.
Classified originally appeared back in the original Black Ops as The Five, starring John F. Kennedy. It’s an exclusive Zombies map only available to those of us who have paid for the Pass. There are four Black Ops 4 Pass exclusive characters. Only one is available as of writing, however. Shadow Man is in the game now for Pass owners, with three more (as of writing) unannounced characters on the way, too. There will be 12 exclusive multiplayer maps added as part of the pass, as well, but these are as yet unannounced.
It is also rumored that the Black Ops Pass will work in a similar way to that of Fortnite’s Battle Pass. The “Supply Stream” system will give us quicker access to new gear such as weapons and emotes, and level up, with 10 tiers per season.
Black Ops Pass – Is it Worth It?
While there is a lot of exclusive content and quicker access to new gear included in the Black Ops 4 Pass, it is an expensive add-on. We think that there is enough content included to justify its high-price, but only if you think you’ll get the most out of it. Black Ops 4 is a huge game as it is. It’s entirely up to you whether you want it to be even bigger.
