It’s been a long time but the Resident Evil 2 1.05 update patch notes show that a single-player game from the beginning of the year can get new content almost a 12 months later. It doesn’t contain any new scenarios, sadly. However, it does include a nod to the newly announced Resident Evil 3 remake in the form of a trophy or achievement. This was the same trophy or achievement that was hinted at in November.
Resident Evil 2 1.05 Update Patch Notes | RE3 remake trophy/achievement added
The biggest thing added in this update is this new trophy/achievement called Chasing Jill. This is awarded to players who find the note she left behind.

Players can find this note by going to the Kendo’s Gunshop and searching for a certain cabinet. Check the guide above to see exactly where to go. This is the section before the sewers and just after you fully exit the police station. Keep in mind that you can only find this note by going as Leon. Claire does not get to go Kendo’s Gunshop in her campaign so you cannot get this note as her.
Resident Evil 2 1.05 Update Patch Notes | RE3 remake option
This isn’t a huge new feature but it also added the ability to look at the Resident Evil 3 remake in the store. This just sits at the main menu and sends you the PlayStation Store. The RE3 remake comes out on April 3, 2020 so this option lets players pre-order that game. There might be other things hidden in this patch as Capcom has officially acknowledged the update or put out official patch notes, but this is probably the biggest part if there is anything else. If there is anything else, we will update this article.
