You won’t be too far into the game before you find the shotgun. It’s located in the Subway Office, the same building you have to visit to route the train once you restore power. The first time you see it, it’ll be locked inside of a cabinet on the wall. Before you can lay your hands on it, you’ll need to find a way to cut the chain barring your way.
Before you can get the shotgun in Resident Evil 3 remake, you’ll need to get the bolt cutters. You need these to gain access to a story location, so you can’t miss them. However, the shotgun is missable, so make sure you grab it while you can.

There are three upgrade parts for the shotgun located throughout Resident Evil 3 remake.
Tactical Stock (Shotgun)
Location: Subway Station (Clock Puzzle)
When you solve the clock puzzle on the ground floor of the subway station, one of your rewards is the Tactical Stock. This stock reduces recoil by increasing the gun’s stability, which increases accuracy.
Semi-Auto Barrel (Shotgun)
Location: Kendo’s Gunshop
The Semi-Auto barrel is probably the most useful upgrade for the shotgun. It allows you to fire the weapon quicker, as you no longer have to pump it and also reduces spread. However, the best part of this upgrade (which isn’t mentioned in the description for some reason) is that it increases your shotgun’s ammo capacity by two shells, bringing the total it can hold at a time to six.
Shell Holder (Shotgun)
Location: Hospital (Underground)
The Shell Holder is the last upgrade you get for the shotgun and allows for faster reload speeds. Jill quickly grabs shells from the holder and loads them into the shotgun’s magazine, which makes this already powerful weapon even more so. you’ll find this upgrade in a case on the lower level of the lift in the northwest corner of the room.
