The Last of Us 2 workbench locations aren’t all found in the critical path. Some are quite hidden. But fear not, as here are all of The Last of Us 2 workbench locations that you’ll need for weapon upgrades as well as the Prepared for the Worst trophy and the In the Field trophy. Just remember that there are spoilers in this guide so just be careful. The guide is divided by what chapter the bench is in as well as what sub-chapter.
The Last of Us 2 Workbench Locations | Jackson | Patrol
You almost can’t miss the first workbench in Jackson. After finding Eugene’s little bunker and turning on the power with the generator, turn around. The bench will be lit up by the door. Just be sure to press Triangle at it to use it.
The Last of Us 2 Workbench Locations | Seattle Day 1 | Downtown
The first bench in Seattle is in the open area where you can travel to the different places on the horse. Go to the spot on the above map and you’ll find a tent with supplies. The bench is also in there. You can get there a few ways like climbing through the music store and onto the catwalk on the second floor, squeezing through a gate, or climbing up a nearby ladder.

In the next section of that level, you will likely come across some WLF soldiers near a red and blue gas station called Coast (it’s near the book store with the Infected inside). The workbench is in that building, which you can get into a few different ways.
Going under that garage door is one way to get in as the bench is right next to that entrance/
The Last of Us 2 Workbench Locations | Seattle Day 1 | Capitol Hill
The next bench is a little odd since it doesn’t have the little wrench icon above it like the others. This bench is a little later on in the Seattle Day 1 chapter in the part with the mines. It’s in the building in the above pictures, which is the karate studio right after you get into the area with the mines. If you’ve gone through a truck or crawled under the green one, you’ve gone too far.
The bench is in one of those rooms near the locker room.

This last bench is in the tunnels where you have to put your mask on. You’ll eventually have to throw a hose over a pipe to swing over to the other side. But don’t. There is a blue door near where the hose is on that platform. Go inside of that blue door before swinging to the other side and climbing up the ladder. The

This first bench in the Seattle Day 2 chapter is right in the beginning. In that first section, you’ll see a building called Rosemont, which is a clothes store.
In the back near the register, you’ll see a giant gaping hole in the wall. Drop through it.
You’ll see the bench in that basement.

You’ll probably come across this workbench naturally. After moving the dumpster up the ramp and solving that small puzzle, you’ll have to jump through the hole in the picture.
The bench is right after you jump into that hole.
The Last of Us 2 Workbench Locations | Seattle Day 2 | The Seraphites
This third bench is slightly off the beaten path. Once you’re supposed to go into the place with the “DO NOT BLOCK 24 HOUR ACCESS” sign on it, don’t. That is where the game’s story continues. Instead, go into the nearby apartment building as shown in the above picture.
But the door is locked so look to the right and you’ll see an open crawlspace at the bottom of the stairs (like you see in the picture). Go inside and up the stairs and you’ll have two doors. The door you want (which is on the right when you get up the stairs) is unlocked.
Go inside that room and the workbench is in the back near the kitchen where the water heater is. Just remember that The Last of Us 2 is an intense game and there are surprises around every corner.
The Last of Us 2 Workbench Locations | Seattle Day 2 | The Seraphites
This last Seattle Day 2 workbench is a little out of the way. After dropping off the ladder in the above picture, you’ll see a bus stop. Go to it.
And once you’re at the bus stop, go up the stairs in the picture.
After those stairs, you’ll see Weston’s Pharmacy. Go inside.
It’s a bit dark, but you’ll see a hole in the floor in the left side of the store. Crawl inside and you’ll find not only a safe but also the last workbench in this chapter.
The Last of Us 2 Workbench Locations | Seattle Day 3 | Road to the Aquarium
The first workbench in Seattle Day 3 is in the beginning after you partner up with Jesse. Somewhat early in the level, Jesse will open up a door for you.
He will then go through a double blue door in the following him. Don’t follow him. Opposite that double blue door is a space you can crawl through a space that has a post office-like slogan that says “Trusted Shipping Since 1942.”
Once you crawl under that sign thing, you’ll come across a workbench in that room.
The Last of Us 2 Workbench Locations | Seattle Day 3 | Road to the Aquarium
After a fighting through some WLF soldiers and the swimming under a bus , you’ll have to make your way through the shop with a ton of mannequins. You have to climb a little to get into the store, but the bench is pretty close to the entrance. Once you get to something resembling a show floor like in the above picture, go to the area highlighted by the red rectangle.
The bench is in that small alcove.
The Last of Us 2 Workbench Locations | Seattle Day 3 | The Flooded City
After getting the boat, you’ll have to exit the boat and open up a door and go down some slight rapids with fast-moving water. You’ll very quickly get to this area in the above picture with a moving truck in the center. Go to the garage that is highlighted by the square. You can get out of the boat with the Triangle button.
The workbench is in that small garage from the last picture. This should get you the In the Field trophy since this is the twelfth workbench. Just be careful of going too far since you can’t always go back in the boat. Those little fences will keep you from backtracking so be sure to explore before you go over those things.
The Last of Us 2 Workbench Locations | Seattle Day 3 | The Flooded City
The last workbench in this chapter is in the arcade that you get to in the boat. Get off the boat and go up the stairs and you’ll see the scene in the above picture.
It’s on the other side of that room, somewhat near the Jax X arcade machine.
