Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 Live Weather not working

Turn off Live Weather and use Custom Weather Presets for now. While many players have complained that the Live Weather feature isn’t working in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, as of writing, there isn’t a fix outside of not using it. All you can do is continue to make the development team aware that live weather effects aren’t working and wait for a fix via an update. We’re currently unaware if a fix is in the works. We simply know that the bug exists and that plenty of players have already sent in a bug report.

The live weather effects in the new Flight Simulator appear to be broken right now. Live weather data appears to be giving many players the same result, with “225-223 at 1 to 3 knots” wind speed, too. It’s unfortunate, as live weather should be a great feature that adds to the realism of the game. Send in a bug report to Zendesk if you can and wait for the update to release that fixes the bug. The more bug reports Zendesk receives of the error, the quicker it gets fixed.

For now, though, this is how to fix the Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 Live Weather not working bug:

  • Send in a bug report to Zendesk
  • Turn off Live Weather Data
  • Use Custom Weather Presets
  • Wait for the Live Weather bug to be fixed

Hopefully, the bug is fixed in an update sooner rather than later. Hopefully, inverted camera controls are added soon, too.
