Twelve Minutes Nintendo Switch and PlayStation

When is the Twelve Minutes Nintendo Switch, PS5, and PS4 release date?

Twelve Minutes boasts an all-star cast featuring James McAvoy, Daisy Ridley, and Willem Dafoe. That’s enough to grab most players’ interest alone, though the game itself looks to be an intensely exciting thriller. With trailers pointing towards a PC, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One launch, many are wondering about alternate platforms. So, is there a Twelve Minutes Nintendo Switch, PS5, and PS4 release date? Here’s the lowdown on supported 12 Minutes platforms at launch.

Is a 12 Minutes Nintendo Switch version coming out?

Twelve Minutes Nintendo Switch, Lite, and OLED model

Twelve Minutes is launching on August 19, 2021, for PC and Xbox. There is no 12 Minutes Nintendo Switch, Switch Lite, and Switch OLED model release date at this time.

Although there are no known plans to launch a Twelve Minutes Switch port at the time of writing, it isn’t out of the question in the future. Given Twelve Minutes’ A-list voice cast, publisher Annapurna Interactive will likely be looking for a return on its investment. One of the best ways to do so would be by making the game available on more platforms.

There is one potential caveat, though — Microsoft may have an exclusivity deal for the title. Twelve Minutes is coming exclusively to Xbox and PC at launch, plus will be available via Game Pass on day one. The game has also made several appearances at Xbox events, though, despite this, there have been no official announcements regarding such a deal. This could be a good thing, as platform holders usually like to crow about exclusive games.

Are 12 Minutes PS5 and PS4 versions coming out?

Twelve Minutes PS4, PS4 Pro, and PS5

Twelve Minutes is an Xbox and PC exclusive launching on August 19, 2021. There are no current plans for a PlayStation version, which means there isn’t a 12 Minutes PS5 and PS4 release date right now.

Annapurna Interactive is usually keen to support the PlayStation platforms, so its latest game could come to PS5 and PS4 in the future. Although there’s nothing official on a possible Microsoft exclusivity deal, the signs are there, which could mean a delay of around 12 months before ports emerge in summer 2022. It’s only possible to speculate at the moment, however, so don’t take that as gospel.
