Our roster of heroes is dwindling down as the final season of TWD continues. Fans are on pins and needles about who’ll make it out alive, and we know from the past that no one is safe in this zombie wasteland. One of the longest surviving characters so far is Rosita Espinosa. However, despite the show focusing on her in the past, we haven’t seen much of her lately, and fans are wondering if Rosita dies in The Walking Dead Season 11.
Does Rosita die in The Walking Dead Season 11?
We’re four episodes into The Walking Dead Season 11, and Rosita hasn’t died yet. In fact, we’ve barely seen her. Aside for an appearance in Alexandria before Maggie set out to Meridian, and accompanying Carol to capture the runaway horses, we haven’t seen or heard much from Rosita. Given that she’s been a main character since her introduction in season 4, it seems odd that she’s been largely absent. Unfortunately, it seems like she’s not scheduled to be a big part of the conclusion either, as she’s only slated to appear in three episodes of season 11.
Of course, in the comic book, Rosita’s fate was sealed far earlier in the story. There, Rosita was among Alpha’s first victims during the Whisperers saga. Alpha kills her and puts her head on a pike as a warning that the three communities were encroaching on Whisperer territory.
We’re not sure what Rosita’s odds are on surviving season 11 yet. It’s too early to tell whether Alexandria will survive. The community is in dire straits since the Hilltop, Kingdom, and Oceanside survivors moved in and is quickly running out of food, especially now that the Reapers have come into player. The writers have also shown that they have no restraint in killing off characters we’ve known for a long time. Tara, who joined the show alongside Rosita, ironically died the way Rosita did in the comic during season 9.
So, Rosita is still alive for now, but her luck may not hold up. We’ll keep a vigil over her as The Walking Dead barrels towards its conclusion.
